John DeCrenza John's music springs from a profound connection with the natural world - inspired by his childhood spent along the banks of the Croton River in the rolling hills of southern New York. His music is infused with hints of jazz, pop, folk, bluegrass and delivered with a sweet, heart-felt, easy-listening style. His greatest musical influence is derived from the work of Dan Fogelberg - who left us in December 2007. "Dan was an incredibly gifted artist and musician. His vocal range was unbelievable - and at his best, he created deeply personal portraits of a thoughtful and insightful life. His music transcended the personal, striking the universal chords of the human experience." Other artists that influence John's style include: The Eagles, Jackson Brown, John Denver, John Prine, Michael Franks, George Winston, Jimmy Spheris, Joni Mitchell and many other singer/songwriters from the 60's and 70's. |
